Mosquito Repellent

Mosquitoes are certainly one of the insects, if not the most annoying on the planet. A mosquito bite can and usually ruins all outdoor functions during the spring and summer months. I will not be bored with the biology of mosquitoes, but what I will do is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to control them.

Mechanical control - here you should always start. Mechanical control is when the breeding source of the mosquito is eliminated. If there are no places where mosquito larvae have to incubate and become adults, you have eliminated most of the problem. Old tires, flower pots, swimming pools, bird baths, clogged gutters and prints on the floor are all ideal muck-room decorations. Remove the water after the rain of something from the box and retain moisture. Repair sliding doors, door screens, etc. This will also eliminate entry points into the house.

Mosquito Repellent - There are many insect repellents on the market. DEET is usually the main component, but anything that exceeds 20% is a waste. Read the label carefully before buying. Lotions such as the skin are so sweet, and several brands of Citronella products such as Tiki torches and bucket candles are also very popular.

Mosquitoes - Mosquitoes are a larvicide killing mosquitoes, preventing them from growing in adults or contaminating the larvae source (bacteria, algae, etc.). Some mosquitoes can be very expensive. Use only pieces in stagnant water that does not disappear. Read the TAG before use because it is not intended for large waters.

Mosquito trap / magnet - The mosquito trap (also called mosquito trap) is the Cadillac of all mosquito systems. Mosquito magnets work on propane and require the use of octenol or lurex (depending on the type of mosquito found in the living room). The combination of CO2 and octenol imitates human breathing, which attracts mosquitoes to the site of the trap. If you spend a lot of time outside, you should seriously consider one of these elements. The Skeetervac Mosquito Trap is also very effective.

Mosquito net / netting - mosquito nets are very popular for outdoor events such as camping. The red comes in all forms of pavilions, headboard and various outdoor sleepers. The remuneration is excellent, but again the management of the source is always the best.

Mosquito Zapper - This is the easiest but not the best way to control mosquitoes. Although it is great to hear mosquitoes that are electrocuted during scratching, mosquitoes are not as prone to fires as butterflies and other insects.

Mosquito Burner - Mosquito Mist is not a long-term solution, but that will give you quick relief. The mosquitoes are territorial, so the fog will kill adult mosquito populations very quickly, but this is not a long-term solution. Wind is also a factor, so if the wind speed is more than 3 miles per hour, the fog will not be so effective if not.

Mosquito Spray - Another method of control is the use of a residual pesticide to treat areas where mosquitoes can rest during the day. Once a mosquito lands in a treated area, they will die. Among the eaves, trees, shrubs or a shady area, where it is beautiful and cool, is the ideal place to treat. Some sprinklers are not intended for plants because the chemical can be phototoxic to plants. Do not forget to always read the label before using insecticides.

Lighting - Mosquitoes are attracted by the carbon dioxide that comes from the breathing of an animal or a human being. So do not waste your money on these fancy yellow lights when you are trying to limit the activity of mosquitoes.

Diet / Natural Predators - Yes, there are certain types of food and pills that can serve as repellent mosquitoes. Garlic pills for people and yeast breweries for pets are becoming increasingly popular for people who go green. There are many local and local shops selling these products.
